Rosudgeon’s new Co-op convenience store opened its doors yesterday to the general public. The former petrol filling station site has been redesigned and transformed to accommodate a modern, retail Co-op ‘top-up’ store and also to provide West Country Classic Cars with a bespoke car sales, display and repair building to the rear.
Gareth Dexter, Co-op Acquisition Manager was there to witness the grand opening event and highlighted that the store is a significant investment to the local community. He said – “We look forward to welcoming our much valued customers with an enhanced shopping service which will include a Post Office counters service, access to a free, cash-machine and will focus on: fresh, healthy produce; bakery goods; award-winning wines; vegan and Fairtrade products; food-to-go and everyday essentials. This fantastic new store will create 18 in-house jobs and operate at the heart of local life, hopefully becoming a vital part of the wider Rosudgeon community”.
James Bradley, Landmark’s Managing Director said “We are proud to be handing over another completed convenience store, on-budget and amazingly (despite the uncertain times) ahead of schedule. A huge thanks go to the hard work of our team and specialist contractors Soldi. As a company Landmark Estates is passionate about delivering high-quality retail stores and meeting the Co-op’s needs”.Share This
