Another string to the land teams bow, with consent granted to convert Pennyfarthing House, Chesil Street, Winchester.  Pennyfarthing House was acquired on an unconditional basis in November 2016. The Grade II listed building sits prominently in central Winchester and is just a stones throw away from the Cites shops and restaurants.

The four-story building is packed with architectural features and offers some 4000 square feet of space.

Planning was granted in February 2017 to convert the building into four, two bedroom apartments, each with private off road parking.

Managing Director James Bradley says: “The site is yet another exciting project for the South Coast office. The consented scheme is credit to Senior Land Buyer Ben Olds, who has worked closely with our professional team. Their hard work resulted in planning on first attempt and we are looking forward to starting the building phase this spring.

The building actually lends itself to conversion and requires very little structural alterations. Our attention in this instance focuses around restoring the period features, and fitting and providing a high specification finish to each unit”.
